Photography NARRATIVE

Overview

Everstream imagery reflects the tone of our company and captures our ability to keep businesses connected.

Our photography is very specific and unique to the personality of Everstream and the product we deliver to our customers. As such, we have curated a custom photography library to be used across all of our digital and print assets. We highly recommend exclusively using this library as a guide for sourcing additional imagery. If necessary, source photography using the guidelines below.

Select photos that are unposed, cool-toned and diverse. Images should not be overly saturated or edited with flares. Everstream's photography supports our messaging and brings the human element of our brand to life. The subjects should be authentic, modern, and candid. They should also be diverse in gender, ethnicity and age, and appeal to our brand’s audiences. Environmental photos should be inviting and modern, and highlight relevant subject matter for our audiences.

Additional Guidelines

Everstream is flexible in photography applications, however, there are three main rules to guide your designs, these include photo editing, isolated style, and full bleed style.

Editing with presets

When using photography in Everstream branded assets always prioritize our custom photography library. In areas where sourcing is required, utilize our presets to modify the photo. These presets are not always a clean fix, additional small adjustments may be needed depending on the image.

Before preset

The image falls flat and the tone is too warm. Some details are getting lost, and the color is not balanced.

After preset

The tone is cooled down while still maintaining a rich skin tone. Details are crisp and exposure is balanced.

Framed photography

When designing a new layout, consider including a framed photography application. Framed photography can be used across all types of collateral, but when using please follow the guidelines below. Never apply a stroke to any photo frame.

Corner radius

When framing photography always round the corners. The exact radius of the corners will vary depending on frame size, so visually match to the above example.

Drop shadows

Use drop shadows on your framed photography. Match size and opacity to the example above. Use Gray Sensor on light or Purple Core on dark backgrounds.

Gradient overlay

When adding photography to a newly designed Everstream asset, a gradient overlay can provide not only flexibility, but legibility for text.

Application rules

When adding a gradient overlay to your photography follow the below rules to ensure consistency across assets.

  • Place rectangle on top of photo in layout and color using Ultraviolet.
  • Apply a gradient feather to the rectangle, keeping the Purple Core at 100% opacity, but fading out Navy Pulse to 0%.
  • Overlay white text if applicable.
